Sivas returned from Venice with Special Jury Prize

Turkish director Kaan Müjdeci’s debut film Sivas has premiered in Venice Film Festival and was welcomed by critics and audiences. It was awarded with Special Jury Prize.

Doğan İzci (11), the child actor of the film, gained hearts of the many and won Bisato D’Oro Best Actor Award given by independent film critics.

Sivas tells a boy-meets-dog story but not in a fashion like Lassie. ‘Çakır’ the dog featured in the movie is off a special breed from Kangal district of Sivas province in Turkey, known as the Kangal dog.
